Last month, a member of the Kool Smiles patient family received some help from Habitat for Humanity’s “A Brush with Kindness” campaign! Cornelia Brooks, who lives near Atlanta, Georgia, needed some assistance painting her home. Volunteers with the Habitat for Humanity, the “Bene-volunteers,” spent the day helping her paint. Although they had never met before, Cornelia and her helpers had something in common! The volunteers work for a dental service organization called Benevis, which provides support services to Kool Smiles, and Cornelia’s grandson is a patient at the local Kool Smiles office!
“A Brush with Kindness” is an exterior home preservation program supported by Habitat for Humanity that offers painting, landscaping and minor repairs to eligible homeowners so they can continue to live in their homes for years to come.
