Tip #1: Brush Twice a Day

Brushing at least twice a day for two minutes after meals with fluoride toothpaste is extremely important for removing plaque and fighting cavities. Bacteria naturally grow in your mouth, but what allows it to stick to your teeth is plaque – a sticky, clear film that builds up on your teeth.1 When you consume sugary foods and drinks, the sugar sticks to the germy plaque and forms acid that wears away the enamel and causes cavities. Brushing after meals removes the sugary plaque and acid so you can avoid tooth decay and enjoy a happier, healthier mouth.
